Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osbourne delivered his emergency budget statement. The main points affecting small businesses include:

• A reduction in the National Insurance threshold.
• A five year plan will be introduced to reduce Corporation Tax.
• Value Added Tax will increase to 20%
• Capital Allowances will be reduced.
