Alec has a knack for understanding our client’s vision for their business and ensuring they develop and grow in a sustainable fashion. Alec is extremely experienced at helping founders of SME’s and start-ups to build successful, rewarding and futureproof businesses. Alec enjoys problem solving with his clients and loves to use new and innovative technology to do it.
Alec’s other passion is growing plants and if you find yourself watching the highlights of the Chelsea Flower Show during May you may catch a glimpse of Alec on the TV standing proudly next to his award-winning peonies.

Andrew has been a chartered accountant for over 30 years and has practiced his trade in the UK and Europe within primarily large corporations. Andrew has worked with local sole traders to multinational organisations, from the company formation to a successful full stock market flotation. Andrew provides advice that makes sense to experienced business people and new business owners alike.
Integrator & Head of Client Relationships
Catherine has been in practice for 15 years working with small and medium sized business in various sectors. She is a massive Xero champion having used it for 10 years, believing it can make a real difference to clients and the way they work, saving them time and money on the long run.
Catherine’s motivation comes from helping others, she enjoys listening to their needs and offering them practical solutions for their day-to-day issues. This applies to both staff and clients and Catherine enjoys being a part of the team.
Catherine enjoys keeping things light with a joke or two, even if sometimes she may be the only one laughing. Catherine is super sporty and plays netball for 2 counties. She also loves spending time with friends and can’t wait to get her nose into a really good book especially when they are about self- improvement.
Accountant
Tristan has been with the firm for more than 12 years and is an integral part of the team. Tristan deals with all aspects of accounting for the firm and is an important source of contact for all of our clients. Tristan has honed his technical skills in his career and enjoys working on complex projects with all manner of clients from sole traders to limited companies and charities.
When Tristan isn’t neck deep filing accounts he enjoys being active outdoors either mountain biking, snowboarding or skiing but also loves getting hooked on a good thrilling series like the ‘Last of Us’.
Rachel has been with AJR & Co for 5 years, as an accountancy assistant leading the payroll team. Rachel is organised, efficient and loves being able to help clients out, no matter what they need.
When Rachel is not at work she enjoys the simple things in life, spending time with family, walking her dogs and turns her hand to a spot of DIY. Rachel also loves to skip into her tap dancing shoes every now and again, turn the music volume up and tap dance the night away.
Julia has been with AJR for over 6 years. Julia works across all our clients, both sole traders and limited companies keeping them updated with any savings they could make for their businesses.
Julia loves spending time with family or getting lost in a good book. Julia also enjoys being in nature and often runs outdoors.

The Chancellor should cement the government's commitment to small businesses in his Autumn Statement, according to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
